Last Saturday I had the most wonderful session with the amazing Kim family at McDaniel Farm Park. Lyndsay, Luis and their adorable 6 month baby girl were such a joy to work with! When we arrived at the park at 8:30am, it was already steamy outside. I had a list of poses and ideas in my head, but we would be working against the Georgia heat and the very bright sunshine.
We headed down to the fields for the first images. I knew I wanted some light, airy and hazy shots of them in the field and those would work best before the sun got too high. Since it has been raining so much lately, the sun was extra bright and made being in the sunshine very hot, though. I took a few shots of them standing and then we set up a basket to get some of baby K by herself. She was so adorable! I also grabbed a few shots of her with daddy and the family sitting on a blanket in the grass.
Then we moved to the shade at the farmhouse, which helped cool us down a bit. I set up my faux fur rug on the porch and the wood floor and siding in the background gave us a great studio feel of baby K's portraits. She even gave us a smile! The family moved to the porch steps for a few shots of them together and a few of Lyndsay with baby K. Throughout the session, the Kim's were all smiles and had such positive attitudes, even as we wiped sweat from our brows! I look forward to working with them again!
